Cairo to Host ARWADEX 2024 Conference to Foster Innovation and Sustainability in the Water Desalination Sector

Under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt will host the regional water desalination conference, ARWADEX, in partnership with the International Water Waste Infrastructure (IWWI) from December 10 to 12, 2024.

The conference aims to unite global experts and professionals to explore and exchange innovative ideas and breakthroughs in water desalination and reuse. A diverse range of sessions and panel discussions will tackle the challenges and opportunities facing the water desalination industry.

Key topics will include sustainable water management, focusing on strategies to reduce non-revenue water through low-carbon footprint trenchless technology. The safety and security of water will also be a focal point, with discussions on the latest methods for ensuring treated water quality and preservation.

Investment opportunities in the water desalination and reuse sectors will also be explored, with particular attention to innovations in digital transformation and sustainability. Experts will discuss enhancing sanitation systems in small communities and managing industrial wastewater in broader infrastructure development.

A special session titled "Innovation for the Future: Insights into Water Desalination and Management in the Region within a Global Context" will delve into regional and global efforts to advance desalination technologies. Another important panel, "Nationalization of Water & Desalination Industry," aims to strengthen local production and bolster economic growth.
Furthermore, the conference will address the sustainable management of non-conventional resources in the MENA region, emphasizing the development of effective frameworks for desalination strategies through private sector collaboration. Innovative design, build, and operate (DBO) packages for desalination projects will also be discussed.

The use of renewable energy and green technologies for sustainable desalination will be highlighted, reflecting participants' commitment to innovative and sustainable solutions, including municipal sludge applications.
